The U23s kicked off the Time Trialing experience with a lot of great results across the board. First off were the three Men’s U23 2x crews, all of whom advanced. Will Legenzowski and Simon Hatcher placed first in the time trial with a time of 6:09.818. Evan Albers and Salim Onbargi placed sixth with a time of 6:30.867. Caleb Nollenberger and Thomas Monahan placed thirteenth with a time of 6:35.650. That means all three of these boats advance to the Semifinals, with all the crews racing each other in Semifinal 1 at 8:00 AM tomorrow. The top two crews in this semi will advance, so all three of our boats will be out for blood.

Next came the Women’s U23 2x crews. The boat of Megan Lee and Catie Castle placed tenth with a time of 7:21.101. They were closely followed by Simone Vorperian and Brooke Alexander who came in thirteenth with a time of 7:25.365. Simone and Brooke will race in Semifinal 1 at 8:21 AM EST and Megan and Catie will race in Semifinal 3 at 8:35 AM EST. They will both need to place in the top two in the Semifinal to advance to the Final.
