[GRP Ski] Cedar Sprigs Race at Home Supertour

The SuperTour returned to Craftsbury this past weekend as a part of the Bill Henchey Memorial. The competitions kicked off on Friday with a skate sprint. Margie Freed led the GRP women with a 6th place finish. Alex Lawson was 13th, Annika Landis 17th, and Michaela Keller-Miller 30th. For the men, Akeo Maifeld-Carucci finished in 23rd just ahead of Braden Becker in 24th. Returning GRPer Ben Lustgarten placed 26th with Adam Martin in 28th.

Saturday commenced the weekend’s two-day distance segment with ten kilometers of classic racing for both the men and women. Alex once again led the GRP women in 6th place with Annika in 11th, Margie in 12th, and Michaela in 24th. Adam continued his classic technique domination, taking the victory by twelve seconds. Braden placed 7th, Akeo 10th, and Ben was 19th.

The weekend finished with pursuit skate races on Sunday, the starting order being determined by Saturday’s results. Alex progressed to 5th place, Margie moved up to 8th, with Annika finishing in 10th, and Michaela in 15th. Adam moved back to 2nd, with Akeo charging to 7th, Braden finishing 10th, and Ben placing 13th.
