Will Legenzowski at U23 Trials

Tomorrow marks the beginning of the Under 23 Rowing World Championships in Račice, Czech Republic. Our GRP U23 athletes have been over in Europe training and making final preparations since July 1st. Accompanied by coaches John Graves and Andriel Doolittle, these young rowers have been eagerly awaiting their opportunity to shake it up with some great international competition and represent both the Cedar Sprig and the United States with pride.

To kick off racing for us tomorrow is the lone Men’s Single Scull, William Legenzowski. Will is a talented athlete who has made his mark on domestic racing, winning U23 Trials with a dominant performance as well as putting on a fantastic show earlier in the year at Olympic Trials. Will is racing in Heat 5 at 11:15 AM EST and will be facing off against the scullers from Italy, Romania, Belarus, and Portugal.

The livestream to watch the racing can be found here. For the rest of the crews racing later in the week and their results, please continue to check the GRP News, the GRP Facebook page, or the GRP Instagram account for updates! Go Sprigs!
