GRPers Emily Delleman and Jacob Plihal rowed in their first World Cups for Team USA last week in Poznan, Poland.

Emily earned an impressive 5th place in the women’s double sculls. After placing 2nd in her heat, she rowed to 3rd in her semifinal and 5th in the A-final.

Jacob placed 9th overall for the men’s double sculls. He rowed to 3rd in his heat, 4th in his semifinal and 3rd in the B-Final. “Overall, the regatta was a great learning experience and confidence builder for our senior debut,” Jacob shared. “The field was deep with many Olympians racing in our event. Having the opportunity to race against the best is always a great metric for seeing what areas we can improve on.”
