GRP at the Winter Olympics

The Green Racing Project was proud to send five athletes to the 2022 Winter Olympics: Jake Brown, Susan Dunklee, Clare Egan, Caitlin Patterson, and Hallie Grossman.

The biathlon competitions started off with the mixed relay in which Susan and Clare skied the first two women’s legs and led the US to 7th place. Next up were the fifteen and twenty kilometer individual competitions: Jake placed 28th, Clare 39th, and Susan 63rd. Next, Susan cleaned the women’s sprint to place 27th with Clare in 46th. Clare moved up to 38th in the pursuit with Susan finishing in 40th. Jake skied to 36th in the men’s sprint and then finished 40th in the pursuit.

The four person relays concluded the biathlon races at the Games: the men, with Jake skiing the second leg, placed 13th. The women, with Susan and Clare once again skiing the first two legs, earned 11th.

Caitlin did not get the opportunity to race because of limited team start spots, nor did Hallie because the biathletes all stayed healthy.
We are proud of each of these athletes for representing our community and team in Beijing!
