How to Watch the 2020/2021 World Cup Season
Written by GRP Biathlete Raleigh Goessling
This winter is going to look a lot different than normal, but the FIS Cross Country and IBU Biathlon World Cups are still on!
Starting tomorrow, GRP skiers and biathletes are in action in Ruka and Kontiolahi Finland respectively.
The way to watch live World Cup this winter is to use NBC’s Peacock streaming service. The premium package will get you live cross country and biathlon World Cup coverage. There is an option to pay monthly, or in a lump sum for the year. The Premium Plus package gets you all the same coverage, just without ads.
If you have a Xfinity or Cox TV subscription, you may already have access to Peacock and its live sports coverage as part of your entertainment package.
If your cable TV package includes the Olympic Channel, you will also be able to watch live cross country and biathlon racing. Check the schedule to see which events will be live on cable, since not all events will be shown on cable TV.
If you are unable to watch live, replays are available, but not on the Peacock streaming service and only for biathlon races. If you go to https://www.eurovisionsports.tv/ibu/ you can see full replays of events, highlights, press conferences and more. Unfortunately, there is no such service for cross country.
We recommend checking the race schedules for cross country here and for biathlon here and cross referencing them against the Peacock and Olympic Channel schedules to make sure you don’t miss any of the action and avoid any spoilers.
