GRP Run Welcomes New Athletes

GRP Run is excited to welcome 3 new road runners and 4 new trail runners to supplement our already strong roster. This crew comes from all over the country and brings a lot of talent and dedication to the team! The GRP Run team attends training camps in Craftsbury, participates in regional in-person meet-ups and connects regularly over virtual platforms. Our athletes contribute to community projects both here in Craftsbury and in their local communities.

Eric Ashe - GRP Road

Eric brings a wealth of race experience with 2x Olympic Marathon Trial qualification, a 4:03 mile PR, and an America East championship in steeplechase.  He’s currently prepping for Grandma’s Marathon in June. Eric lives in Boston with his wife and daughter and works for the road team’s apparel sponsor, Tracksmith.  He also coaches runners of all ages in his local community.

Morgan Elliott- GRP Trail

Morgan comes to the GRP with an impressive resume as a 2x US Skyrunning Champion, a former Golden Ticket winner, and a multiple time US World Team member.  He is hyper-focused on the Golden Trail World Series and will be representing Team USA at World Mountain Running championships this June in Austria. One of Morgan’s favorite hobbies is identifying birds based on their song around his home in Salida, CO and he works as a shoe and boot fitting specialist.

Jackie Gaughan - GRP Road

Jackie has many fast PRs in races ranging from the 5k to marathon. A recent graduate of Notre Dame, Jackie has started her post-collegiate running career strong with a victory at Trials of Miles Project 13.1 and a podium finish at the Pittsburgh Half Marathon.  Based in Boston, she has already qualified for the 2024 Olympic Marathon Trials.  Jackie works in private wealth management.

Stephen Kerr

A mainstay on the northeastern mountain racing scene over the past few years, Stephen won the overall USATF-NE Mountain Circuit in both 2021 & 2022. Outside of the sports sphere, Stephen is a musician and composer, often releasing music under the pseudonym Cooney Thatcher, and a ethnobotanist with a budding business leading foraging walks and supplying wild harvested produce.

Aubrey Myjer - GRP Trail

Perhaps the furthest flung member of GRP Run, Aubrey resides in Los Angeles with his wife and works at Door Dash. Aubrey posted impressive xc and steeplechase results at Columbia and NC State before turning his attention to trails. He has set a course record in the Black Canyon 60k and achieved impressive FKTs in the Los Angeles region at Mt. San Antonio (Baldy) and on the Joshua Tree Traverse. This summer Aubrey will be gearing up for the Speedgoat 50k.

Hannah Rowe- GRP Road

Hannah grew up in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom where she played basketball, soccer and ran XC and track. She relocated to Boston to pursue a PhD and research how using speech as a biomarker can detect neurodegenerative diseases.  She and her husband spend many of their weekends hiking in the White Mountains with their dog, Bekele.  Like many of her teammates, she is gunning for the 2024 Marathon OTQ and will be targeting Grandma’s Marathon in June.

Sam Stimac- GRP Trail

Watching the Barkely Marathons documentary first inspired Sam to sign up for an ultramarathon and she hasn’t looked back since.  Sam currently lives in Vermont with her partner and their rescue dogs where she works as a traveling physical therapist.  She recently placed 6th at the Canyons Endurance Runs 100k and she can’t wait to run in the Barkely Fall Classic.
