[GRP Run]: 2 GRPers Qualify for Olympic Trials
On December 4th in Sacramento, California, 2 Cedar Sprigs ran qualifying times for the 2024 Olympic Marathon Trials. Katie Kellner and Caroline Williams ran 2:35:20 and 2:36:57, respectively, besting the 2:37 standard required. Caroline’s finish was gutsy, as she fought cramping quads, fighting for each second to reach the line under 2:37. Her finish was picked up by Runner’s World and posted on Youtube.
Kathryn Fluehr, Kat Morrissey, and Erika Fluehr also completed the 26.2 mile distance, running 2:38, 2:44, and 2:47 respectively. On the men’s side, Andrew Tario ran 2:31 in his marathon debut.
Olympic Trials will take place in Orlando on February 3rd, 2024.
