Clare races her way into the flower ceremony in 6th place in the Pokljuka World Cup.

The sixth World Cup of the season took place in Pokljuka, Slovenia and kicked off with an individual race. Clare Egan shot clean and raced to her best result of the season in 6th. Last winter, Pokljuka was where Clare reached her first-ever top-6 on the World Cup. She was followed by Susan Dunklee in 55th with 5 misses and Emily Dreissigacker in 84th. In the men’s race, Jake Brown finished 52nd with 3 misses. Next up was the single mixed relay in which Jake was joined by USBA teammate Joanne Reid. The pair placed 23rd with no penalties and 14 spares. In the mixed relay, Clare and Susan were joined by USBA teammates Leif Nordgren and Sean Doherty. This team placed 12th with two penalties and 12 spares. Susan shot clean in her first stage (without spares). The final race of the weekend was a mass start. Clare was the only US biathlete who qualified to compete. She placed 26th with three misses. World Cup racing will now take short break, but will resume on February 13th in Antholz, Italy with a mixed relay.
