À Bientôt Catamounts & Craftsbury!

So the GRP rowing clan has unfortunately and fortunately left Craftsbury. Unfortunate in the sense that we leave some beautiful snow, great people, and awesome food behind, and fortunate in the sense that we’re going to find some water of the liquid variety in order to tune up for Spring racing.

We’ll have more posts to come on our new, temporary home in Clemson, South Carolina, but for now, I wanted to share some pics from our penultimate day with the Catamounts. I think helping coach the Catamounts actually wound up helping our skiing as well since it called for additional thought on the sport from a different perspective. On top of that, all of them were great kids and provided us with a refreshing boost of energy two times awake while training.

Start of some creative relay races on our second to last day.

Emily preparing for relay racing!

Everyone obeying Amy’s relay race orders including big Phil!

Group photo with me rudely fist blocking the talented Mr. Henson by accident. Great group of kids!

Group picture of where we spent 50% of our time.

Isabel and I were late to the party at the bumps.

Emily claiming that she can’t get her pole strap back on, but knowing full well that she can.

Some play time on the bumps. We’re the luckiest nordic ski center out there, considering the groomers we have!

A few more runs on the rolling bumps!

Jamie and some Catamounts celebrating the end to their Valentines Scavenger Hunt

As mentioned earlier, now that we’re remote, we’ll try to do a better job of keeping everyone up to speed on our lives and training down South. So look for entries to come that will showcase our G(reen) sides, our R(acing) sides, and our P(roject) sides. Maybe a dash of humor or two as well.
