Caitlin joined the GRP in the spring of 2012, after graduating from the University of Vermont (UVM). She grew up in the mountains of Idaho, where her parents introduced her to skiing and instilled a love of playing outside at a young age. Caitlin attended high school in Anchorage, Alaska and developed into a competitive cross-country ski racer under the guidance of the Alaska Winter Stars program. While at UVM, Caitlin was a six-time NCAA Skiing All-American, the winner of 13 EISA Carnivals, the 2010 NCAA Elite 88 Academic Award winner, and a member of the 2012 NCAA National Championship Ski Team. She is a two-time U.S. Senior National Champion, in the 10k classic and 20k mass start skate in Houghton, MI in 2016. Caitlin won the 2016 U.S. Supertour overall title and finished 2nd overall in the Supertour in 2017. She has raced to numerous Supertour podium finishes during the past few years, including 3rd place in the American Birkiebeiner in 2013. Caitlin represented the U.S. at World Juniors in 2010, at U23 World Championships in 2011 and 2013, and at the World Cup intermittently between 2012 and 2017. The highlight of her 2017 season was a pair of 4th place finishes in the 15k Skiathlon and the team sprint (partnered with Liz Stephen) at the World Cup in South Korea.
At the Outdoor Center, Caitlin enjoys working in the garden, photographing training sessions, working on projects to expand the GRP's media presence, coaching at kids' camps, and applying her engineering background to site planning and sustainable energy projects.
